A fond farewell to Erin & Nick…

The Great Escape Charter Company

Those of you who travelled on The Great Escape over the past 2 years, and had the pleasure of Nick Bull and Erin O’Neill crewing your cruise, will know too well the wonderful qualities of these two starlets of the sea that we had the good fortune of working with.

Nick Bull has been our very own onboard Master Chef for the past 2 years, joined by girlfriend Erin O’Neill, a superstar stewardess, and major contributor to the onboard entertainment.

While you were out climbing to the top of King George Falls, or off for a swim in one of many a gorgeous gorge, Erin would have made the beds, done the laundry, polished every inch of those white shining surfaces, and helped Nick by baking a tray of fresh double choc-chip cookies, and all before morning tea-time. And while you were out watching the last rays of sun sinking into the ocean from the white sands of a deserted beach, Nick was cranking the oven and stirring the pot, to create specialties like Duck L’Orange, followed by perfect Creme Brulee, or a piping hot lemon meringue pie. And as you step back onboard at the end of another action-packed day, “pop” goes the Champagne cork and another sensational five-star meal begins all over again. Such was the talent of this formidable Chef/Stewardess duo.

And that’s not to say our incredibly talented deckhands don’t make wonderful sous-chefs and assistants too when required! Fenzi makes a mean pappadam, and Adzy has definitely learned a thing or two about food presentation… however, a five-star chef committed to excellence at sea, and Kimberley adventuring, as well as just generally being a really great bloke, and Erin; a stewardess with a heart of gold, a sense of humour to behold, and a love of fun and adventure equal to her spic n’ span Mary Poppins ways, is a big part of the talented Great Escape crew, and both Erin and Nick made a huge contribution to all the amazing adventures and memories had by our Great Escape guests over the past two years.

We are sad to see them leave the crew and the Kimberley, however we are so grateful and proud to have had them onboard the team, and we know you will all join us in wishing them the very best of things to come as they embark on a new series of adventures, setting sail on the seas of the Mediterranean this coming summer in Europe. Erin & Nick, thank you for every moment you’ve given, and shared, and may the good times continue to roll. Best wishes and Bon Voyage!!
